EBSCO Information Services is standing up a forward-deployed AI delivery capability inside its Data & AI organization. We are hiring a Delivery Lead to guide the pod, set technical direction for agentic AI systems, and implement a disciplined intake → build → hand-off delivery model.

You will lead AI engineers, partner with sponsors across Product, Security, Customer Service, and Operations to ship AI that measurably improves speed, quality, and cost, leaving behind reusable patterns and

Qualifications

10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery.
3+ years leading teams that shipped AI-powered production software.
Hands-on fluency with modern agentic AI such as LLM orchestration, RAG / vector search, human-in-the-loop design.

Responsibilities

Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering team and the delivery roadmap.
Score inbound demand and enforce clean hand-offs to receiving teams.
Set technical direction for production agentic systems (orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop).
Stand up the delivery foundations: evaluation harness, guardrails, observability, reusable patterns.
Own cost-to-serve decisions including model selection and token economics.
Partner with sponsors to translate use cases into shipped systems.
Collaborate with delivery vendors while protecting IP ownership.
Report impact on Speed/Quality/Cost/Learning metrics to SLT.
Scale the capability by embedding a spoke network across teams.
