Job summary

Bachoco Group is hiring a Refrigeration Technician for the 3rd shift in Fort Smith, AR. You will inspect, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems throughout the plant, including spirals, boilers, and CO2 equipment.

Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, logging checks, and assisting contractors. The role requires the ability to read technical manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and operate lifts or forklifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, engine room, roof air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, and plant temperatures.
• Monitors temperatures in freezers and plant.
• Performs preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment and spiral freezers.
• Fills out logbooks and performs OSHA boiler checks.
• Operates power equipment such as scissor lift or forklift; must meet PIE operator requirements.
