Job summary

Doka USA, a leader in formwork solutions, seeks a Formwork Designer for its Tomball, TX operations. This in-person role designs and develops formwork systems, performs structural analyses, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will use AutoCAD and Revit to produce detailed drawings, stay abreast of industry trends, and contribute to process improvements that drive efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in formwork design and engineering within construction.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of formwork design principles, structural analysis, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop formwork systems for a wide range of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
• Conduct comprehensive structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of designs, considering load capacity, stability, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed formwork drawings, plans, and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in formwork technology, and regulatory changes, incorporating best practices into design processes.
• Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, communicating design concepts, progress updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing design processes, enhancing product quality, and maximizing efficiency.
