Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Baytown, TX is seeking Helpers with 0 to 42 months of field experience in construction forms. The role requires reading instructions and documentation, constructing and dismantling form work, and following blueprints.

You will build wooden structures, erect scaffolding, measure and cut materials, and ensure safety on site. Basic carpentry skills and ability to read drawings are valued. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; field experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written and oral instructions.
• Comfort working at heights and rigorous accuracy standards.

Responsibilities

• Builds wooden structures and forms according to blueprints or instructions.
• Examines blueprints to determine materials and dimensions for fabrication.
• Loads, hauls, and lays out job materials at the site.
• Prepares layout of forms or fixtures to be fabricated using lines or grades.
• Measures and marks materials for cutting; shapes materials to size.
• Erects scaffolding, installs ladders and walkways; assists in form assembly.
• Fits and nails components; ensures forms for concrete pouring.
• Observes safety rules and project guidelines; performs other duties as required.
