Job summary

Pharmacy Careers is seeking a Formulary Management Pharmacist to influence access decisions for medications across plans. The role blends clinical evaluation with policy work and offers hybrid or remote-friendly arrangements, allowing flexible scheduling while maintaining high standards of patient care and cost management.

You will evaluate new drug products, analyze clinical and economic data, and collaborate with P&T Committees to shape formulary decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical ability to evaluate data and support formulary decisions.
• Ability to interpret clinical research and economic data for patient care impact.
• Clear, concise written communication to document recommendations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and review new drug products for formulary inclusion or exclusion.
• Analyze clinical trial data, cost-effectiveness, and therapeutic outcomes to support recommendations.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees on formulary decisions.
• Maintain and update formulary lists in compliance with health-plan, PBM, and regulatory standards.
• Provide clinical support for utilization management, prior-authorization criteria, and step-therapy guidelines.
