Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Forming Machine Operator for our Vista facility. You will set up and run forming equipment, inspect parts, and complete documentation while following safety and production procedures.

Two shifts: 1st and 2nd, Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM and 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. This role requires hands-on machine operation, reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and performing 100% inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven machine operation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, engineering data, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and mylars.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating production machines, including hydraulic shears and chop saws.

• Follow all production, safety, and administrative policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Review manufacturing plans, engineering data, and setup instructions before starting each job.
• Set up and operate forming equipment and related machines, including hydraulic shears, chop saws, and forklifts.
• Verify machine setups and adjust equipment as needed to maintain proper alignment and performance.
• Inspect first-piece parts using gauges, calipers, mylars, micrometers, and blueprints to confirm conformance to specifications.
• Perform 100% inspection of all parts produced to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
• Maintain quality standards by identifying non-conforming parts and documenting issues accurately.
• Complete all required documentation, including part counts, labor cards, and non-conformance reports.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment in good working condition.
• Move completed parts to the next operation or staging area using appropriate material handling equipment.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
