Job summary

Parker Hannifin, Parflex Division in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a production operator to set up and run forming cells, package products, and maintain quality with 5S practices. You will read work orders, use measuring tools, and document production data daily. Candidates should be able to adapt to production needs and communicate in English.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and U.S. residency; prior lean experience preferred. Standing and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; may require translation for international diplomas.
• U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required.
• Ability to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications; use shop math.
• Must be able to operate manufacturing equipment and write legibly.
• Must read, write and speak English; effective communication with peers.
• Able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of lean fundamentals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize PPE as required for the cell.
• Share responsibility for finished goods meeting customer expectations.
• Set up and operate forming cell and package product within cell.
• Create labels and complete production reports; maintain clean 5S work area.
• Adhere to quality standards and report issues to Value Stream Team Leader.
• Perform work of an equal or lower classification.
• Follow drawings, standard work and work instructions; identify special instructions.
