Job summary

Wilmot Modular Structures, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to provide forklift and material handling support for our branch.

You will unload and store materials, perform repairs on modular units, and ensure assets meet quality and safety standards while supporting timely project delivery. The role requires hands-on carpentry, basic electrical/plumbing/workspace organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience with hand tools; general carpentry knowledge required.
• Modular construction experience preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklifts; certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of 5S or other organizational methodologies.
• A current valid license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors; able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials with accurate documentation.
• Unload and unbundle product on delivery—safely operate forklift to move materials.
• Maintain the yard and storage areas; organize tools and materials for quick access.
• Perform repairs on mobile trailers and storage containers (framing, carpentry, electrical, painting, flooring, plumbing).
• Inspect and maintain modular building assets; ensure units are ready for delivery.
• Conduct HVAC system checks and routine maintenance per guidelines.
• Back up Quality Technician with inspections of returned leased buildings.
• Support safety programs and report equipment malfunctions or hazards.
• Assist other forklift drivers and service techs as needed for loading/unloading.
