Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our expanding distribution team. You will load, unload, and move products using power equipment, perform daily equipment inspections, and ensure accurate putaway and order picking.

You will maintain a neat, safe, and compliant work area, follow OSHA standards, and assist in counts and inventories while supporting security and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Stamina to stand and walk for the full shift.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 6 months’ prior work experience is a plus.
• Prior powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Capable of recognizing letters and numbers and recalling sequences.
• Good basic math skills and ability to identify numeric and alphanumeric sequences quickly.
• Basic computer usage skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product using power equipment.
• Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Daily inspection on assigned equipment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently following OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Stack and store product in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring correct quantity and type.
• Move product from staging to trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Report quality variances as needed.
• Maintain inventory records and security; assist in physical inventories.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Comply with OSHA and other standards.
• Report issues to Management.
• Support safety programs and initiatives.
