Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate to stage, shrink wrap, and load products by trip and store numbers. You will prepare palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safe transport and correct routing of parts to trucks.

The role requires physical stamina, basic math/reading skills, and attendance. Forklift experience is preferred. This on-site position in Alabama emphasizes safety and efficiency in daily loading operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Regular, reliable attendance is expected.
• Clear speaking and attentive listening abilities.
• Ability to recognize letters and numbers and remember sequences.
• Basic computer skills (APGJCe).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, reach eight feet with stool or ladder when needed.

Responsibilities

• Stages product on pallets, shrink wraps to prevent loss, and loads pallets on trucks.
• Inspects trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensures correct parts go on the correct truck and maps loading orders.
• Operates pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Maintains product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keeps work area clean to avoid accidents and ensure rapid loading.
• Pulls stock orders and assists with other DC shuttles.
• Follows all safety procedures and instructions from management.
