Job summary

Military Produce Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Material Handling Laborer to operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, and RF equipment for loading, unloading, and moving pallets and materials. You will locate stock, record activity, and help maintain a safe environment in a cold warehouse.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent with at least two years of forklift experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and the ability to pass a background/drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years forklift and electric pallet jack experience required.
• Able to maneuver in a warehouse and lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Comfortable in a refrigerated climate-controlled environment (34–55°F).
• Able to pass pre-employment background and/or drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Load/Unload material and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack to designated places.
• Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and ensure safety via maintenance.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for the facilities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
