Job summary

Sammons Warehouse Solutions is seeking an on-site technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment. You’ll perform inspections, repairs, and basic welding, keeping records and ensuring parts availability.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including engines, motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, component repairs and rebuilds, and basic welding while following manufacturer specifications and established safety procedures.
• Keep accurate and timely service records, maintain the parts and supplies needed to complete your work, and keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Live our Safety First culture by following company practices and applicable DOT and OSHA requirements, participating in safety meetings, and completing required technical training and certifications.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of forklift repair or related industry experience; mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication and a commitment to providing great customer service.
• A valid driver’s license and certification on at least 50% of the company product line; Hyster-Yale Maintenance Technician and Service Technician certifications are preferred.
• The ability to regularly stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend; lift up to 75 pounds.
