Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions, part of Sammons Industrial, is seeking an on-site forklift technician in the Tampa area to diagnose, repair and maintain material handling equipment. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic welding while following safety procedures and company standards.

A valid driver’s license and partial Hyster-Yale certifications are preferred. You will grow your skills through hands-on work, training, and certifications, with safety first as the guiding

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of forklift repair or related industry experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Driver's license and certification on at least 50% of the company product line; Hyster-Yale certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including engines, motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems.
• Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, component repairs and rebuilds, and basic welding while following manufacturer specifications and safety procedures.
• Keep accurate and timely records of repairs, maintain parts and supplies, and keep the shop clean and organized.
