Job summary

Sammons Warehouse Solutions is hiring on-site technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment. You’ll perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic welding while following safety procedures.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and a willingness to learn are essential. Eligible candidates have at least 1 year forklift repair experience, a valid license, and certifications on at least half of the product lines; ESOP and retirement benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of forklift repair or related industry experience; mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and certification on at least 50% of the company product line; Hyster-Yale certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including engines, motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems.
• Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, component repairs and rebuilds, and basic welding following safety procedures.
• Keep records, manage parts and supplies, and maintain a clean, organized, safe shop/work areas.
• Follow DOT and OSHA requirements, participate in safety meetings, and complete required training.

What You’ll Do

• Put safety first every day by following company practices and applicable DOT and OSHA requirements, participating in safety meetings, and completing required technical training and certifications.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of forklift repair or related industry experience; mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills, along with a willingness to keep learning and building your expertise.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, a valid driver’s license, and certification on at least 50% of the company product line; Hyster-Yale certifications are preferred.
• The ability to perform a hands-on role that regularly involves standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending; lifting up to 75 pounds.
