Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Forklift Operator, Non Formula, to move goods through the distribution process in our Springfield, MO facility. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, locate storage slots, and ensure accurate inventory movement with a focus on safety and GMP standards.

The role requires standing, walking, lifting 10–90 pounds, and working in a multi-temperature environment while meeting productivity and quality targets. Training and benefits apply from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slot on storage racks and move pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate dated stock to the front and remove outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets and packing materials to the proper area.
• Inspect pallets for damage and move pallets using pallet jack or forklift.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE.
