Job summary

DelGrosso Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our shipping/receiving area. You will operate a forklift and palletizer, load and unload trucks, and maintain inventory while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities include shipping/receiving duties, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to the Six Keys to Success: teamwork, communication, respect, accountability, time management and organization. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of forklift operation experience.
• Fork truck certification preferred; must obtain/maintain certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team with employees, supervisors, and drivers.
• Must be able to operate a computer and pay attention to details.
• Shifts are typically 10+ hours, Mon–Fri with early start; Saturdays required.
• Must lift up to 60 pounds and work in a non-air conditioned facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift to transport items/products.
• Follow safety standards; use PPE; sound horns; wear safety belts; travel at safe speeds; stay aware of surroundings.
• Monitor machine to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine as needed.
• Perform shipping or receiving duties: pick and fill orders; maintain inventory; load/unload trucks/rail cars.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and correct product locations.
• Uphold Six Keys to Success: teamwork, communication, respect, accountability, time management, organization.
• Assist other warehouse staff when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete other duties as assigned.
