Job summary

Digrig is seeking a Shipping/Yard Associate to coordinate, verify, and record incoming merchandise while ensuring safe loading for transport in compliance with DOT and state regulations. You will also assist customers with shipping and storage inquiries and support yard operations.

Under direct supervision, you will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, inspect equipment, secure loads, and coordinate with dispatch.

Qualifications

Completion of ninth grade required. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Maryland Class C driver’s license or equivalent required.
Experience in shipping, logistics, or manufacturing and operation of a forklift.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and pallet jacks used in loading and unloading products/materials; may operate passenger vehicles.
Run a power washer and lawn maintenance equipment occasionally.
Inspect equipment and identify causes of defects in structures or materials.
Perform physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and walking while handling materials.
Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and tarps; assist with delivery coordination.
Coordinate with dispatch on loading and delivery accuracy and assist customers with stored equipment.
