Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Forklift Operator at our Alabama distribution center. You will operate material handling equipment to move goods through the distribution process, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include locating slots, counting incoming freight, replenishing pick slots, and maintaining orderly inventory. The role requires 6+ months of warehouse experience and the ability to work multi-temperature environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly (10–90 lbs depending on location).
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).

Responsibilities

• Locate and position pallets on storage racks using forklift or hand stack.
• Count incoming freight in staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and remove outdated inventory.
• Follow safety policies and complete end-of-shift paperwork and housekeeping duties.
