Conklin Metal Industries – Birmingham Branch is hiring a Warehouse Associate who will operate a forklift, use RF scanners and support WMS workflows. This on-site role requires careful handling of shipments, inventory control, and safe equipment operation in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and safe operation in daily tasks.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfort with variable temperatures and shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against invoices and inspect condition.
• Pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries and branch transfers with care.
• Load and secure trucks complying with DOT and company standards.
• Organize stock on shelving and bins per company standards.
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to management.
• Operate a forklift as part of daily workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
