Job summary

Conklin Metal Industries – Birmingham Branch is seeking a Warehouse Associate with forklift and RF scanner experience to help run a fast-paced operation from receiving to shipping.

You will verify shipments, pull and pack orders, load trucks, and maintain organized stock while adhering to safety and DOT guidelines. This on-site role offers growth within a family-owned company and strong benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Hands-on forklift operation experience with safety-focused approach.
• Experience in fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and endure physical activity.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against invoices for accuracy.
• Pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries and transfers safely.
• Load and secure trucks per DOT and company standards.
• Organize and maintain stock on shelving and bins.
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to management.
• Operate a forklift daily and maintain a clean, safe warehouse.
