Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may perform additional duties such as order filling or checking.

Responsibilities
  • Operate box clamp forklift equipment to stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
  • Operate all equipment safely, following prescribed work methods.
  • Maintain records for inventory control and security.
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Use RF scanning equipment and complete inspection forms prior to operating equipment.
  • Require Excel and general computer knowledge.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • At least 3 months of clamp forklift experience or related warehouse equipment use.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift/pull 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in variable environments and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must obtain NFI forklift certification.
  • Attention to detail, customer service, and basic math skills.
