Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and may also perform order filling or checking duties. This position involves operating sit-down and/or clamp forklifts.

Shifts Available

• Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm (Weekends if needed)
• Monday - Friday 4pm-12:30am (Weekends if needed)

Responsibilities

• Stack and store merchandise using forklifts and related equipment
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure accuracy
• Operate equipment safely following work protocols
• Maintain records for inventory control and security
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts
• Ensure proper stock rotation
• Use Excel and general computer skills
• Report safety concerns promptly
• Report inventory discrepancies and assist in resolution
• Complete inspection forms before operating equipment
• Use RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum 3 months forklift or warehouse equipment experience
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Lift/pull up to 50 lbs
• Regular bending, lifting, reaching
• Ability to work in variable noise, lighting, and temperature conditions
• Availability for irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays
• Must obtain NFI forklift certification
• Attention to detail, customer service, basic math skills
