Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, part of Echo Global Logistics, is seeking a forklift driver to safely operate forklifts, load and unload goods, and maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 months forklift experience, can pass internal safety training, and is comfortable working in dusty, hot or cold conditions while lifting up to 50–65 lbs.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience or experience with warehouse equipment
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must pass internal Forklift Certification Training
• Ability to work in dusty, hot and/or cold conditions

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
