Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a dependable forklift driver to join our warehouse operations in Ohio. You will inspect equipment, load and unload materials, and help maintain accurate inventory records while following safety procedures.

The role requires 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50–65 lbs with team lifting when needed. Training and certification will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ months forklift experience or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Able to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
