Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a forklift operator to support production with material handling, inventory accuracy, and equipment maintenance in a factory setting.

The role requires operating multiple forklift types, performing daily inspections, and scanning parts to ensure correct locations. You will track inventory, assist with training, and participate in 6S activities while supporting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation and safety training required.
• Experience with RF devices and WM systems preferred.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of material handling/forklift equipment including Conventional, Stockpickers, Reach Trucks, Tuggers and Walkie Stackers.
• Getting on/off lift throughout the shift as needed.
• Use visual management and safety alerts consistently.
• Move inventory in and out of production and warehouse areas correctly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning parts to/from proper locations.
• Right-size/consolidate inventory to 80% utilization.
• Perform daily forklift inspections per checklist.
• Safely maneuver the facility on forklift.
• Track parts using RF device and WM system.
• Provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Carry out daily 6S activities, keep area organized and safe, complete paperwork.
• Cross-train across Material Handling areas and locations.
• Work overtime when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
