Position Description

Forklift Operators are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and operating forklifts, including picking, loading, moving, and unloading materials. This is a safety-sensitive role.

Essential Duties

• Operate forklift for various material handling tasks.
• Monitor equipment condition and perform maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Inspect and document forklift service.
• Follow all safety policies and promote a safe work environment.

Physical Work Demands

• Heavy physical effort, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, and other physical activities.
• Work from heights and in outdoor elements.
• Use of various tools and equipment, including power and vibration tools.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass medical and fit testing.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with forklift operation and maintenance.
• Effective communication, reliability, and punctuality.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 10 Certification.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
