Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a material handler at our Sedalia, MO facility. The role focuses on transporting and unloading materials promptly while maintaining a safe workplace and adhering to Tyson policies.

You will rotate dated products in the cooler, perform inventory tasks, and manage paperwork with legible handwriting. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, operating in a cold environment, and meeting the requirement to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and legible handwriting.
• Rotate products by dates and perform inventory.
• Wash down areas as needed.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Work in a cold atmosphere (35°F or below).
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Ability to work without direct supervision until task completion.
• Follow all department safety rules.
• Rotation may be required.
• Must have 8 points or less on record.
• No written warnings in last 3 months or warnings with suspension in last 6 months.
• TMS in probationary period will not qualify.

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Must be willing and able to:

• Have basic math skills.
• Keep accurate paperwork and have legible handwriting.
• Rotate product in cooler by dates and take inventory.
• Wash down areas
• Load and unload trucks.
• Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs.
• Be able to communicate with proper personnel.
• Ability to work in cold atmosphere 35 degrees or less.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Ability to work without direct supervision until job is completed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a forklift and pallet jack license within 10 days.
• Must abide by all department safety rules.
• May be subject to rotation.
• Must have 8 points or less
