Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load/unload, grade materials, and place products into inventory across production areas. You will ensure proper documentation and contribute to safety programs while supporting other plant operations as needed.

The role requires reading comprehension, arithmetic ability, and a willingness to work overtime. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with a background check and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos and safety rules.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to perform intermediate arithmetic (decimals, fractions, ratios).
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Willingness to work overtime and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Load/Unload trailers in a safe manner.
• Material grading and placement of processed material into storage.
• Complete all required paperwork and maintain inventory records.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and participate in Health and Safety programs.
• Perform other duties as needed and support cross training.
