Job summary

UNFI is seeking a warehouse forklift operator to move product efficiently in a fast-paced distribution center across multiple warehouse zones.

You will report to the shipping office, perform daily inspections and replenishments, and help maintain accurate inventory while ensuring a clean, safe work environment. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Safety guidelines must be understood and followed.
• Knowledge of Bakco functions and RF systems.
• Understanding procedures in other warehouse areas for broader process awareness.
• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and measurement units.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and perform vehicle inspections at shift start.
• Replenish pick slots using system or manual screens.
• Perform knockdowns for selectors as needed.
• Maintain accurate counts and log inventory discrepancies.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Inspect assigned forklift and complete vehicle inspection sheet.
• Park and recharge forklift at shift end.
