Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials within a warehouse, performing inspections, order fulfillment, and safety checks to maintain food safety and quality. The role requires PIT training and forklift certification, and emphasizes teamwork and GMP adherence.

Responsibilities include pre-shift meetings, safe forklift operation, accurate paperwork, and coordinating with office staff to resolve discrepancies, with an emphasis on food safety and operational efficiency.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Completion of PIT training and forklift certification
• Read, write and speak English
• Strong math and configuration
• Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision

Mansioni

• Attend pre-shift meetings
• Drive forklift safely and productively
• Complete daily forklift inspection and remove the lift if defective
• Ship and receive product damage-free with QA checks
• Monitor the floor for safety concerns and act accordingly
• Complete all documents and paperwork accurately
• Fill customer orders accurately and follow special instructions
• Work with office staff to resolve discrepancies and issues
• Keep warehouse organized and pallets off the floor
• Promote teamwork and positive communication
• Adhere to GMPs and sanitary conditions; ensure product quality
• Report safety or quality concerns to QA/Safety managers
• Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned
• Follow SQF principles as specified by SQF Practitioner
• Report safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
