Job summary

Echo Global Logistics, via its Roadtex Transportation division, is seeking a dependable forklift driver to join our warehouse team in California. You will operate forklifts, load and unload shipments, and help maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass internal safety training.

Qualifications

At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions

Responsibilities

Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition
Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift
Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management
Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area
Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
