Job summary

Very Good Manufacturing in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a night-shift forklift operator to keep production lines supplied with materials and to unload finished cases. You will move items, stage for the next day, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse.

As a safety-sensitive role, you must perform startup/shutdown checks, operate equipment carefully, and help secure dock areas at shift end. 18+ and reliable attendance are required.

Job description

You come in while second shift is running. Throughout the evening, you keep production supplied with materials and take finished cases off the lines. As the night winds down, you organize and put away pallets, stage materials for the next day, set up forklifts to charge overnight, take out trash and get the warehouse squared away.

What you'll do

• Move materials from storage to the production lines and keep the lines supplied through the run.
• Take finished cases and pallets off the lines, wrap them, and put them away in the right locations.
• Stage materials and pallets for the next day's production before you leave.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized: aisles clear, product where it belongs, dunnage sorted, cardboard baled, trash out.
• Take care of the equipment you run (forklift, electric pallet jack, stretch wrapper). Inspect it at the start of your shift and leave it clean and charging at the end.
• Shut down the docks area at the end of the night, closing and locking all back doors and dock doors.

Who we're looking for

• A skilled forklift operator. You should be smooth, precise, and comfortable on the truck from day one.
• You operate safely at all times, and always complete a daily startup and shutdown check.
• You are reliable and on-time, daily.
• You are steady, responsible, and professional. A good sport when the plan changes, calm when something seems off, and generally easy to work with.
  

Backgrounds that tend to do well: high-volume distribution or 3PL, military logistics, retail receiving/inventory, industrial materials handling.

Work environment

This is a safety-sensitive position in an active production warehouse. On your feet for the full shift, regular lifting up to 50 lbs, variable temperatures. PPE required and provided. Must be at least 18 to operate a forklift.

Fine print

This position works in and around an active production facility: moving machinery, forklift traffic, glass, and ethanol vapors, with noise and temperature variation. It requires standing, walking, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in tight or awkward positions for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. This is a safety-sensitive position: lockout/tagout procedures apply, and PPE is required in designated areas.
