Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is hiring for a general yard worker to assemble orders, wrap pallets, and load them onto customer vehicles using a forklift. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer-facing professionalism.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience or the ability to learn, and the stamina to work a flexible schedule. Certification may be required, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
• Forklift operation experience or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to pass internal certification and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders from supervisor and collect products manually or with forklift.
• Move pallets to staging areas or onto customer vehicles.
• Interact with customers in a professional, friendly manner.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance and recharging of batteries.
• Keep assigned area clean and orderly and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as needed by the supervisor.
