Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is hiring for a Checker Operator on multiple shifts (day and night) in Russellville, AR. This entry-level forklift role loads, unloads, and processes materials in a cold warehouse, with orientation to be forklift-certified. Night shifts include a premium; overtime potential exists to meet production needs.

Applicants must meet safety and PPE requirements and be able to pass health assessments and drug screening. The facility operates seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Six months of continuous work history with a single employer in the last twelve months.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and move about the work area at a fast pace.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold storage environments.

Responsibilities

• Move around the work area at a fast pace for 10–12 hour shifts.
• Follow Tyson policies and safety guidelines.
• Work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.
• Operate in a fast-paced cold storage environment and potentially cross-train to other areas.
• Stand for 10–12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme cold (−10 to 34 degrees).
• Complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate across management levels.
