Job summary

Perricone Farms, a leading citrus juice supplier in Fort Pierce, FL, is seeking a Forklift Operator. This fast-paced, full-time role requires operating a sit-down forklift, unloading fruit bins, and organizing pallets for efficient processing.

English fluency and forklift certification are required, with Spanish a plus. The position reports to the Operations Manager and offers a competitive hourly rate, day and night shifts, and a benefits package including health, vision, dental, life and 401K.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift in the plant, navigating tight spaces
• Unload trailers with fruit bins upon arrival
• Organize products in the east lot for easy identification and processing
• Supply bins, tri-walls, or boxes of fruit to the grading line for extraction
• Load and unload products onto trailers for vendor pick-up
• Move drums to the conveyor at stations as needed
• Provide forklift services to various departments as required
• Keep track of inventory on-site

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate

Available Shifts: Day & Night

Summary of Functions:

• Operate a sit-down forklift within the plant, navigating tight spaces, moving pallets, and working both indoors and outdoors.
• Unload trailers with fruit bins upon arrival.
• Organize products in the east lot for easy identification and processing.
• Supply bins, tri-walls, or boxes of fruit to the grading line for extraction.
• Load and unload products onto trailers for vendor pick-up.
• Transport both empty and full drums to the conveyor at the drum fill station.
• Move drums to the conveyor at the drum chopper station.
• Provide additional forklift services to various departments as required.
• Keep track of inventory, including bins, tri-walls, and loads on-site.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
• Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.

Organizational Relationships:

• Position reports to Operation Manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Forklift and Pallet Jack certification.
• Spanish is a plus.
