Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Forklift Operator at our Mt Wolf, PA corrugated facility. You will safely operate a 10,000 lb sit-down forklift, load and unload materials, and prepare shipments while keeping accurate records and following safety rules.

This role offers shift flexibility with second and third shift differentials and opportunities to grow pay as you build skills; orientation starts on first shift. Join a strong team focused on safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and record-keeping functions.
• Willing and able to work any shift, including overtime, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 10,000 lb sit-down forklift with push-pull attachment.
• Load and unload materials and ensure loads are secured.
• Maintain accurate records for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Set team goals and manage job assignments.
• Organize work-in-progress, raw materials and finished goods to keep production moving.
• Communicate with machine operators to maintain production flow.
• Complete shipping tasks using basic computer tools.
• Keep work areas clean and safe from hazards.

Georgia‑Pacific is now hiring a Forklift Operator to join our Corrugated facility in Mt Wolf, PA! Do you enjoy working in a team environment operating mobile equipment? Are you committed to safety? Our forklift operators are responsible for retrieving, organizing, and staging finished products from the production line to ensure smooth workflow and prepare them for shipment or further processing.

• Start at $21.93/hour
• Earn up to $24.17/hour once fully trained
• $2.00/hour 2nd Shift Differential
• $1.00/hour 3rd Shift Differential
• Additional opportunities to increase your pay as you build skills and contribute to plant performance

Shift

• Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• The first week of orientation will be on 1st shift (8am - 3pm), then you will be assigned to your training shift after your orientation.

Shift Hours

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Overtime, weekends as needed.

Our Team

Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of corrugated boxes for our valued customers.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit‑down forklift with push‑pull attachment.
• Adhere to all Safety and Compliance rules, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Loading and unloading materials
• Ensure loads are properly secured and in good condition.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Participating in setting team goals and managing job assignments
• Organize work‑in‑progress, raw materials, finished goods, and ensure all production machines are loaded with stock to ensure continuous operation
• Communicate with machine operators and other team members to maintain production flow.
• Utilize basic computer skills to complete shipping tasks
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Minimum of 1 year of sit‑down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and/or record‑keeping functions

What Will Put You Ahead

• 3+ years’ experience operating a propane powered forklift
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
