Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Milford, NJ is seeking safety-minded forklift operators for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). You will load/unload materials, operate a forklift, and maintain inventory records at a fast-paced corrugated facility.

Candidates should have 6+ months forklift experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings; familiarity with SAP/WMS is a plus, and overtime may be required as needed.

Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Forklift Operator in Milford, NJ!

Salary

• $25.25 per hour
• 2nd shift differential is $1.50 per hour / 3rd shift differential is $2.00 per hour
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.
• This role is eligible for our Performance Pay program that could offer up to a 6% quarterly bonus.

Shift

• Currently hiring for 3rd shift
• Only candidates who are available to work this shift will be considered.
• This may include overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Orientation will be on 1st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent shift approximately 30 days later.
• Milford operates on a point based attendance program.

Shift Hours

• 1st shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed
• 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed
• 3rd shift: Monday - Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as needed

We are located directly across the Delaware River from Riegelsville, PA, in a picturesque countryside. We are just 20 minutes from Easton, PA; 20 minutes from Phillipsburg, NJ; 20 minutes from Quakertown, PA; 25 minutes from Bethlehem, PA; and 30 minutes from Doylestown, PA.

What You Will Do

• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials and finished product using a forklift.
• Complete inventory/department documentation (both manually and with the use of a computer software system)
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and fueling equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 6+ months experience operating a forklift safely in a manufacturing, industrial or warehouse environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and/or record-keeping functions.
• Familiarity with shipping or logistics software (SAP, WMS or similar)
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Other Considerations/Physical Requirements

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

For this role, we anticipate paying $25.25 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
