Job summary
LJ Inc is seeking a dependable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our team, supporting our Paint and Machine Shop with material handling, assembly, painting, and general shop support.
The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, be comfortable around large industrial equipment, assist with assembly and painting, and help keep work areas clean, safe, and organized. We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Experience moving large or heavy materials.
- Experience in industrial assembly, painting, fabrication, manufacturing, or a machine shop.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely in a busy industrial/shop environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and position large materials, equipment, and industrial components.
- Move and stage materials throughout the facility and between shop areas.
- Assist with the assembly of industrial equipment, components, and fabricated pieces.
- Assist the Paint Shop with preparing, moving, and painting industrial components and equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas; follow safety procedures.
- Support other shop personnel and departments as needed.
