Surge Staffing is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload and stage materials across the facility. Prior forklift experience and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency are required in an industrial setting.

The role involves operating forklifts, staging materials for production or shipping, verifying materials against paperwork, and helping with loading and unloading trucks.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to certify)
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
• Stage materials for production, shipping, or storage as required
• Move raw materials, finished goods, and scrap to designated areas
• Verify materials against paperwork and report discrepancies
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Maintain accurate material flow to support production schedules
• Perform basic inspections of forklift equipment and report issues
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
