Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Lithonia, GA, is seeking a forklift operator to support our shipping and material handling operations. You will safely operate forklift and wrapping equipment, keep stock organized, and document inbound/outbound materials in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months forklift experience, and the ability to work overtime on short notice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months forklift operation experience.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Must obtain PCA certified forklift license.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keep stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Pull jobs for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
• Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
• Follow rules and procedures for safe operation of the forklift; report any missing, broken, bent or worn parts.
• Be alert to obvious defects of incoming material.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies; other duties may be assigned.
