Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking a reliable forklift operator to support warehouse and production operations in Salt Lake City.

You will handle forklifts and material-handling equipment, move materials, load/unload trucks, and help maintain a safe, organized work environment. The role requires experience with inventory management, accuracy in records, and the ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proven experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping and receiving procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety guidelines and procedures.
• Load and unload trucks with accuracy in material handling and placement.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the facility.
• Move raw materials and finished products as required.
• Maintain inventory movement records using scanning systems or logs.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
• Assist in inventory counts and stock management tasks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and hazard-free.
• Follow safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Job Summary

This role involves operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate , relocate, and stack materials within the warehouse or production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations , inventory mana gement, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures .
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy in material handling and placement .
• Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility .
• Move and load raw materials and finished products as required .
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or manual logs .
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues promptly .
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks .
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and free of hazards .
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid forklift operator certification/license (or willingness to obtain one) .
• Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment .
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving procedures .
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs ) as required .
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions .
