Job summary

Linamar Corporation in Arden, Arkansas is seeking a Material Handler to move materials within the facility using powered forklift trucks and to support loading/unloading, inventory and shipping/receiving activities. The role emphasizes safety, accurate material routing, and adherence to OSHA standards.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years forklift experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Prior shipping and receiving knowledge or forklift driving experience.
• 1–2 years operation counterbalance forklifts and other material handling equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to schedule and adjust plans as needed for unexpected changes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management system.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated on new products, market trends, and emerging sales/inventory management technologies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move materials, products and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring materials are handled with care.
• Transport raw materials and packing to production lines and finished goods to designated storage or shipping areas.
• Empty scrap metal bins as required.
• Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured and stored to prevent damage or accidents.
• Entering shipping and receiving information into applicable computer software and programs as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
• Neatly store material in proper storage areas.
• Maintain flow of material to all machines and assembly areas, first in, first out.
• Take parts for final inspection area and/or in process inspection area to shipping.
• Other duties as assigned
