Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Belchertown, MA is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production and maintain accurate production records. This role supports production by supplying materials per schedule and ensuring traceability of movements.

Responsibilities include handling in-process material, labeling, wrapping, stocking finished goods, and assisting with bottlenecks. A pre-shift checklist and safe forklift operation are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for rough materials and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies perCompany policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
