Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and electric pallet jacks to move, lift, stack, and stage palletized product.
  • Pre-Shift Inspection: Complete daily pre-operation equipment inspections and remove unsafe equipment from service; report defects to maintenance.
  • Freight Handling: Load and unload trailers, put away and replenish inventory, and move product between receiving, storage, automation, and outbound staging.
  • System Accuracy: Scan and verify loads and locations in the warehouse management system (WMS) to keep inventory accurate.
  • Safety & Traffic Control: Follow facility traffic patterns, pedestrian-separation rules, speed limits, and load-stability standards; report hazards immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Certification: Valid forklift/powered-industrial-truck driving experience, and ability to complete Exol's certification before independent operation, per OSHA 1910.178.
  • Experience: Prior forklift or material-handling-equipment operation in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment, or comparable experience.
  • Vision Demands - Must possess the visual ability to safely operate a forklift, including looking upward to accurately place and retrieve pallets from elevated storage rack locations.
