Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate material handling equipment within the warehouse and support order fulfillment. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to safety procedures, and efficient movement of goods to storage and outbound loads.

Responsibilities include pre-op inspections, inventory documentation, and helping with cycle counts. Basic Excel and computer proficiency are useful for daily tasks and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience with warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per customer and operational requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and security; supports cycle counts as directed.
