Job summary

UFP Thornton, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production and maintain accurate paperwork. The role supports production schedules by supplying materials when needed and maintaining orderly inventory yards.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), be at least 18, and complete forklift licensing. Experience is not required, but forklift driving experience and basic math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required
• Basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed
• Band, wrap, pack, and label finished goods
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues
• Keep material and inventory yard organized and clean
• Maintain production records as required
• Follow forklift rules per company policy
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Perform other duties as required
