Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory, production, and finished goods, while maintaining accurate production records. The role supports production schedules and ensures proper material flow to meet daily targets.

Responsibilities include wrapping and labeling finished goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing routine equipment checks. Candidates should meet minimum education requirements and be prepared for licensing processes and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math and inventory techniques knowledge preferred.
• Must complete forklift licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material between inventory, production, and finished goods as required.
• Band, wrap, label, and pack finished goods for storage or shipment.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
