Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records. You will supply material per the production schedule and maintain orderly inventory yards.

The role is listed with a Day Shift and offers benefits; prior forklift experience is preferred but not required, and you must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required however, forklift driving experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods and label material
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems
• Maintain organized inventory yard for materials and finished goods
• Complete production records as required
• Follow forklift rules and company policies
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Perform other duties as required
