Job summary

UFP Industries in Auburn, NY is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, while maintaining production records and following the production schedule. You will transport goods between stations, band/pack/label finished products, and help keep yards organized.

Adhere to safety policies and participate in continuous improvement programs. Starting pay ranges from $16 to $50 per hour depending on experience, with comprehensive benefits available including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods and label material
• Move finished goods from production area to inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues
• Maintain organized and clean rough material and finished goods yards
• Complete production records as required
• Follow forklift rules and company policies
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Perform other duties as required
