UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, maintaining records and providing goods on schedule.

The role includes loading, labeling, and assisting with bottlenecks, with a focus on safety and accuracy in production paperwork. The position offers an hourly rate of $16.00–$18.00, day shift hours, and a rich benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing, life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, personal leave

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another, when necessary.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse; assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
